Boomi & Kafka Technical Lead

Role Summary: Lead the design and delivery of Boomi and Kafka integrations for Track 1. Provide hands-on technical direction, enforce engineering standards, and coordinate reusable, secure, resilient, and observable integrations across four brand releases.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  Overall Experience: 6–8 years in enterprise integration development, including at least 3 years in a technical-lead role.

  Leadership Experience: Proven responsibility for technical design, estimation, task planning, code reviews, releases, and team guidance.

  
  


• 
  

  Boomi Proficiency: Expert in processes, connectors, maps, APIs, Atom/Molecule operations, deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning.

  
  


• 
  

  Kafka Proficiency: Advanced in producers, consumers, topics, partitions, schemas, retries, replay, security, and observability.

  
  


• 
  

  Integration Services Proficiency: Advanced in REST APIs, events, batch, files, mappings, adapters, orchestration, and reconciliation.

  
  


• 
  

  Technical Design: Translate architecture and service contracts into implementable designs and reusable components.

  
  


• 
  

  Boomi Delivery: Lead development of processes, APIs, mappings, subprocesses, connector configurations, and deployment packages.

  
  


• 
  

  Kafka Delivery: Guide topic, partition, key, schema, consumer-group, retention, retry, dead-letter, and replay design.

  
  


• 
  

  Security: Implement OAuth 2.0, certificates, secrets, encryption, and role-based access controls.

  
  


• 
  

  Resilience: Ensure idempotency, error handling, retries, recovery, logging, alerting, and reconciliation.

  
  


• 
  

  Quality Assurance: Drive unit, component, contract, integration, performance, resilience, security, and regression testing.

  
  


• 
  

  Production Support: Troubleshoot complex incidents using logs, traces, metrics, lag, offsets, payloads, and reconciliation evidence.

  
  


• 
  

  Release Support: Coordinate SIT, UAT, cutover rehearsals, production deployments, hypercare, and root-cause analysis.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaboration: Work with architects, developers, QA, security, platform teams, vendors, and Track 2 teams.

  
  

Required Skills

- Strong REST, JSON, XML, SQL, Java or scripting, Git, CI/CD, documentation, communication, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Skills

- NetSuite/Boomi, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and retail commerce.

Preferred Certifications

- Boomi Professional Developer or Architect, Kafka Developer, or cloud certification.
