Branch Loan Officer - Chennai

•         Receive and assist customer
walk -ins at the branch for gold loan inquiries and applications

•         Conduct gold purity assessment and
assaying using fire assay, karat meter, and acid testing methods

•         Evaluate gold ornaments for
weight, purity, and applicable loan -to -value (LTV) as per RBI guidelines

•         Process loan applications routed
to the branch by Loan Managers (LMs), ensuring end -to -end documentation and
disbursement

•         Verify customer KYC documents and
maintain compliance with internal and regulatory norms

•         Coordinate with LMs and branch
operations for smooth loan processing and turnaround

•         Ensure accurate gold storage,
tagging, and custodianship as per SOPs

•         Maintain zero deviation from audit
and compliance requirements during all gold handling activities

•         Deliver superior customer
experience at the branch, ensuring resolution of queries and concerns

Requirements

•         1 to 3 years of experience in gold loan
operations at a bank, NBFC, or gold loan company

•         Hands -on experience in gold
assaying — fire assays, karat meter testing, and acid testing

•         Prior experience working in a
branch model (not DSA/field sales)

•         Knowledge of RBI LTV norms,
KYC/AML compliance, and gold loan documentation

•         Ability to handle branch -level
loan processing independently
