Your key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of BSW engineers


• Establish a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement-oriented team culture.


• Support employee development, knowledge sharing, and technical training.


• Track team progress, delivery quality, risks, and resource requirements.


• Knows how to develop functions and software according to valid processes and workflows using defined process management tools.


• Ensures adherence to established software development best practices and standards.


• Ensures quality and functionality throughout development stages.


• Reads, writes and tests embedded SW


• Addresses task scheduling, concurrency and shared resource protection


• Experience in implementing  software for Microcontroller abstraction, Real-time operating systems, Communication services, Diagnostic services (UDS,DEM,FIM), Memory management, Hardware abstraction, Watchdog and system services & Bootloader


• Integrate cybersecurity requirements (HSM) into the base software product lifecycle.


• Support the definition and maintenance of cybersecurity goals, requirements, and acceptance criteria.


• Participate in Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment, including identification of assets, threats, vulnerabilities, and attack paths.


• Ensure that cybersecurity risks are considered during requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, and release planning


• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to define and implement appropriate security measures.
  Support secure software architecture and design, including: Secure boot, Secure firmware & software updates, Cryptographic services and key management, Access control & authentication, Secure diagnostics & communication, Protection of memory, interfaces, sensitive data and Intrusion detection & security monitoring


• Promote secure coding practices and cybersecurity awareness within the engineering team.


• Ensure traceability between cybersecurity requirements, implementation, verification, and release evidence.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline


• Several years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector


• Experience with base software, platform software, embedded systems, or operating-system-related development


• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Lead or Software Architect


• Strong understanding of software requirements, architecture, integration, testing, and release processes


• Practical knowledge of cybersecurity engineering for embedded systems


• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, vulnerability analysis, and security requirements


• Knowledge of secure software development practices and secure coding principles


• Familiarity with tools such as IMS, Git, Jenkins, CANoe, CANalyzer, CANAPE, Visual Studio Code, Enterprise Architect, Polarian, Tessy, Lauterbach (Trace 32), INCA EB tresos, or equivalent tools.


• Strong communication, leadership, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills
