JOB PURPOSE:

The BTP CPI Senior consultant is a high-impact technical role responsible for designing, building, and managing end-to-end integration solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment. This role demands a unique combination of deep cloud middleware expertise (SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI) and strong backend development skills (ABAP). The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to ensure robust, high-performance integration between SAP S/4HANA, legacy landscapes, and third-party external applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Integration Design & Architecture: Design secure, scalable, and optimal end-to-end integration blueprints connecting SAP S/4HANA with internal and external cloud or on-premise systems.

CPI Development & Configuration: Build, configure, and maintain complex integration flows (iFlows) using SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), utilizing various adapters, mappings, and security protocols.

ABAP Development for Integration: Leverage technical ABAP skills to develop backend custom objects, including OData Services, IDocs, RFCs, Proxies, and BAPIs necessary to support interface remediation and data exchange.

Technical Implementation: Plan and execute the technical delivery of integration solutions, transitioning workloads seamlessly from legacy middleware (like SAP PI/PO) to CPI.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Create comprehensive integration test plans. Perform unit testing, end-to-end testing, and transport management, proactively troubleshooting and resolving payload or connectivity failures.

Monitoring & Optimization: Set up proactive monitoring frameworks within SAP BTP to trace, alert, and optimize performance across critical data streams.

·  Documentation & Governance: Maintain detailed technical specifications, integration playbooks, and API strategy catalogs for future cross-reference.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

Overall Experience: Approximately 10 years of proven IT experience in SAP Technical/Integration domains.

Core Middleware Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience designing and building integrations using SAP Cloud Integration / SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI) and SAP PI/PO.

Core Backend Expertise: Strong backend development experience in SAP ABAP (specifically focused on integration: OData, Enhancement Framework, Proxies, IDocs, and ALE configuration).

S/4HANA Portfolio: Active participation in at least 1 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or brownfield migration projects.

Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of backend database structures, ERP system complexities, API-led connectivity, and security standards (OAuth, SSL, SAML).

Soft Skills & Independence: Self-starter with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of operating independently while aligning with a global, cross-functional team framework.

Certifications: SAP Certifications in SAP Cloud Integration, BTP Suite, or ABAP development are highly desirable.

Collaboration: Effectively bridges the gap between functional business analysts, legacy infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors.
