Business Analyst

Mode: 6 Months Contract + ExtendableOverview:As a Business Analyst specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems, I should be able to gather and analyze ISO, such as ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, etc., market requirements and develop technical requirements for the implementation of systems to meet those requirement. In addition, analyzes data, provides insights, and supports energy management initiatives specifically related to BESS. Contribute to optimizing energy storage, grid stability, and sustainable energy solutions.Responsibilities:1. Product Support and Enhancement:- New Product and Features: Analyze ISO and other market requirements and develop technical requirements to add products/platforms.- Product Feature Gap Analysis: Analyse gaps in the current product feature set.- Suggest Features to fill the gap: Suggest new features in line with the business, operations requirements and BESS industry trends - Industry Best Practices: Conduct feasibility of incorporating industry best practices for technology and processes.2. Requirements Gathering: - Collaborate with stakeholders to define monitoring, control, and performance requirements.- Solution Evaluation: Assess BESS technology and available solutions.- Define KPI: Define KPI and dashboard for Systems and Processes.3. Data Analysis for BESS:- Market Trends and Forecasting: Stay informed about BESS market trends, pricing, and technological advancements.- Vendor Tracking and Monitoring: monitor key vendors utilized in our systems and their product development and trends.- Risk Assessment: Evaluate risks associated with BESS deployment and propose mitigation strategies.4. Reporting and Communication:Technical Reports: Monitor ISO markets and report on new product and service requirements.Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge and understanding of energy markets in general and ISO markets, specifically. - Ability to translate market products and requirements to technical requirements for solutions to be developed and implemented by development team. - Understanding of battery chemistry, energy storage technologies, and grid dynamics. - Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.Qualifications & Experience: Industry Experience - 10 to 15 yrs. - Prior experience in the energy sector, specifically, US ISO markets - Exposure and understanding of BESS would be beneficial. - Familiarity with energy storage regulations and industry standards.
