Business Analyst, Insurance Focus (P&C and Claims)

Description

• Collaborate with Product Managers across different teams to consolidate support and enhancement requests tracked as Jira X-Stories.
• Partner with stakeholders to fully understand requirements and translate them into clear, detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
• Work closely with the Claims processing team's stakeholders to effectively prioritize workload, encompassing both cross-product requests and internal maintenance tasks.
• Own and maintain the Jira backlog, ensuring it is current for a rolling 90-day period.
• Execute thorough requirements and root cause analysis.
• Lead detailed grooming sessions for backlog items in preparation for implementation.
• Liaise with the technical team to ensure all solutions align with established business requirements and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8 to 12 years of experience as a business analyst in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on property and casualty (P&C) insurance.
• Solid understanding of insurance products, business rules, underwriting processes.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the insurance and finance domains.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, with the ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar credentials are a plus.
