The Business Analyst – Warehouse Operations will act as the bridge between warehouse operations teams and the development team, ensuring operational requirements are translated into effective system solutions. The role is responsible for understanding warehouse processes, documenting business requirements, coordinating with developers, supporting testing activities, and ensuring smooth delivery of warehouse application enhancements and issue resolutions.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
â Work closely with warehouse operations teams to understand day -to -day processes, pain points, and application requirements
â Translate business and operational needs into clear, structured requirement ocuments — user stories, functional specs, and process flows
â Ensure requirements are complete, unambiguous, and ready for handover to the development team
â Validate requirements with the Operations Manager and relevant stakeholders before handing over to the development team
Development Coordination & Project Follow -up
â Hand over well -defined requirements to the development team and ensure mutual understanding before development begins
â Act as the primary point of contact between warehouse operations and the development team throughout the project lifecycle
â Follow up regularly with developers to track progress, clarify open queries, and remove blockers
â Ensure deliverables are on track and escalate delays or issues to the Operations Manager promptly
â Coordinate timelines, dependencies, and priorities across teams to ensure smooth delivery
Testing, Validation & Issue Resolution
â Conduct functional testing of developed features against documented requirements
â Log defects clearly with steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results, and severity; track them through to resolution
â Perform re -testing and sign off on fixes before features are marked as complete
â Prepare concise test reports and delivery status updates for the Operations Manager and business stakeholders
â Present outcomes, issues, and recommendations clearly to the Operations Manager at the end of each delivery cycle.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
â Prepare and share regular project status updates, testing reports, issue trackers, and delivery summaries.
â Present delivery outcomes, pending risks, operational impacts, and recommendations to the Operations Manager and relevant stakeholders.
â Ensure effective communication between warehouse operations, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
â Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
â Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Systems, or related field.
â 1–3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Operations Coordination for Warehouse Systems, or Application Support roles.
â Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and operational workflows.
â Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, testing, and stakeholder coordination.
â Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, or operational applications is preferred.
â Strong analytical, problem -solving, and communication skills.
â Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and documentation tools.
â Ability to coordinate across cross -functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
â Language required - English, Hindi / Kannada
