Job Description - Business Development & Sales Lead

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and well-connected
professional to lead our sales and business development initiatives for Solar
EPC and Project Development in Chhattisgarh and surrounding regions. This role
requires a mix of strategic relationship management, technical understanding of
power/solar projects, and hands-on project development (land, approvals, and
client engagement).


The ideal candidate will have strong networks
with large industrial clients, government authorities, and local stakeholders
in Raipur, with proven ability to close large-scale deals in the power or
infrastructure domain.


Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Sales
  • Drive sales for industrial and utility-scale
    solar EPC projects in Chhattisgarh.

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with
    CXOs, Directors, and decision-makers of large industrial houses, manufacturing
    units, and corporates.

  • Develop proposals, present techno-commercial
    solutions, and negotiate contracts to closure.

  • Represent the company at local industry forums,
    business chambers, and energy associations.

  • Project Development
  • Identify and evaluate land parcels suitable for
    solar project development in coordination with local land vendors.

  • Liaise with local authorities, DISCOMs, and
    state nodal agencies for project-related approvals, permits, and clearances.

  • Monitor market trends, policies, and incentives
    related to renewable energy in Chhattisgarh.

  • Leadership & Coordination
  • Act as the single point of accountability for
    business development in Raipur region.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, finance,
    and project execution teams to ensure smooth handover of projects.

  • Build a strong local presence and credibility
    for the company in Raipur and adjoining markets.



Requirements

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Energy
/ Power Engineering (MBA preferred but not mandatory).


Experience:

8–15 years in sales, business development, or
project development in solar, renewable energy, or large power/infrastructure
projects.

Must have experience handling industrial clients
and closing high-value projects.


Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of solar EPC, power sector,
and project lifecycle.

Excellent networking skills with industry
bodies, clients, and government authorities in Raipur/Chhattisgarh.

Demonstrated ability to meet and influence
senior leadership (MDs/CEOs/CXOs).

Good commercial acumen with ability to draft,
evaluate, and negotiate proposals.

Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, and
capable of building business ground-up.


Preferred:

Candidates already based in Raipur or with a strong
professional network in Chhattisgarh.
