Role Overview:
We are looking for feet-on-street Business Development Executives who understand how to thrive in the field and believe in winning markets one relationship at a time.
This role is very similar to FMCG beat sales - you will own a fixed set of VLs (Vahan Leaders) in your geography, engage with them regularly, help them activate and convert supply leads, and ensure steady performance day in, day out.
If you’ve worked in FMCG, distributor sales, GT sales, or field B2B roles- this will feel familiar.
Own and manage a fixed set of Vahan Leaders in your assigned geography (just like FMCG beat planning)
Meet and engage with Vahan Leaders regularly and consistently
Help Vahan Leaders convert in-house supply leads into active workforce
Drive daily, weekly, and monthly targets around activations and acquisitions
Act as the first point of contact for Vahan Leaders for day-to-day operational support
Identify drop-offs, low engagement, or bottlenecks early and fix them on ground
Build strong, trust-based relationships- execution + connection both matter
Share market and on-ground insights with internal teams to improve outcomes
2–5 years of on-ground sales / field execution experience
Experience selling fast-moving goods (FMCG, GT sales, distributor sales, or B2B field roles.)
Strong comfort with daily field movement and beat execution
Experience working with retailers, distributors, or channel partners
A target-driven mindset with strong follow-up discipline
Localite of the respective city (Mumbai / Hyderabad / Bangalore / Chennai), with good knowledge of local markets, routes, and behaviour
Vahan Leaders in your beat are active, engaged, and performing
Leads are converted steadily and predictably
You become the go-to person for Vahan Leaders in your area
Supply gaps reduce because of your on-ground ownership
You are not just driving numbers - you are building and stabilising supply at the last mile. Your execution directly impacts fulfilment, growth, and client success.
