Salary range: Rs 1500000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 15-30 LPA)
Location: Gujarat
JobType: full-time

This role isn’t just about managing a sales quota — it’s about building and executing a high-growth strategy, owning P&L-level decisions, and acting as the bridge between field operations and board-level strategy. The Business Sales Head will lead a 5-member sales team, work closely with internal cross-functional teams, and report directly to the Board.

The selected candidate will work primarily from the Surat back office while overseeing field operations in the South Gujarat & Mumbai regions. The mining unit is located in Degam (Chikli District), and total employee strength, including contractual labor, is around 120.

This position is best suited for a proactive, visionary leader ready to bring deep market insights, customer-centric strategies, and revenue-driving action plans.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Leadership

  • Lead B2B Project Sales in the building materials/construction industry.
  • Drive market share expansion in South Gujarat and Mumbai regions.
  • Identify and exploit white space opportunities through strategic initiatives.

Revenue & Financial Accountability

  • Maintain and grow the Average Selling Price (ASP) across product lines.
  • Ensure timely payment collections and strict credit control mechanisms.
  • Provide financial forecasts, recovery plans, and budget inputs.

Business Intelligence & Execution

  • Conduct deep-dive customer and competitor analysis.
  • Offer strategic insights and operational inputs to board members.
  • Execute data-driven sales campaigns with clearly defined KPIs.

People & Performance Management

  • Inspire, develop, and hold accountable a 6-member sales team.
  • Establish a culture of ownership, learning, and responsiveness.
  • Track team performance using structured KPIs and dashboards.

Marketing & Brand Visibility

  • Leverage marketing tools and industry events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Lead the team’s efforts in new business development through networking, partnerships, and referrals.

Reporting & Decision Enablement

  • Maintain structured reporting systems for pipeline, client health, and market intelligence.
  • Build and utilize real-time sales MIS and dashboards to guide informed board-level decisions.

Management’s Key Expectations

  1. Drive Project Sales across key infrastructure segments.
  2. Demonstrate clear plans and execution to grow ASP.
  3. Manage end-to-end payment collection cycles.
  4. Take ownership of team management and capability development.
  5. Deliver strategic insights, market intelligence, and execution plans.
  6. Conduct in-depth customer profiling and competitor benchmarking.
  7. Build strong lead pipelines through new business development.
  8. Exhibit strong marketing and branding acumen.
  9. Align all efforts to sales target achievement.
  10. Ensure data-driven, structured reporting to top management.

Ideal Profile
 

Education

  • B.E. Civil / BBA / MBA / M.Tech or equivalent.
     

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years in B2B commercial sales, preferably in Aggregates, Cement, RMC, or Infrastructure sectors.
