Job Description - Business Development Manager

Job Description – Business Development Manager
Location: Hyderabad, India. (Work from Office position)
Reporting To: Business Unit Head

Experience Level:
3 to 5 years of experience

About the role
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in selling enterprise solutions like ERP and software services. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ERP solution sales, focusing on the India region. (Our IT group developed our own ERP platform, which is successfully deployed across our group companies)
  • Responsible for selling a diverse range of software services, including Application Development, Testing, Integration, API Management, Cloud Solutions, Big Data Analytics, and Digital Transformation.
  • Work in partnership with delivery and technical pre-sales teams to craft impactful proposals and solutions.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline from networking and referrals.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
  • Maintain strong relationships with client decision-makers.
  • Track sales metrics and regularly report to leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in ERP solution sales.
  • Strong understanding of ERP implementation and business process alignment
  • Prior experience in selling IT/software services.
  • Knowledge of software development, lifecycle and service delivery models.
  • Strong professional network and understanding of the Indian and technology services market.
  • Ability to develop, present, and close enterprise-level deals.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Proposal and RFP/RFI response experience.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
