Department Summary:
The Sales & Marketing
Department is responsible for increasing the company’s market presence by
promoting poultry feed supplement products, identifying new business
opportunities, developing customer relationships and supporting growth across
regions.
Purpose of the Position
To lead and manage
business development strategies that drive growth in sales and customer base.
The BDM identifies new markets, develops relationships with key clients and
channel partners and ensures the business meets revenue and expansion targets.
Job Description (Major
Roles and Responsibilities):
Roles:
Identify,
evaluate and develop new business opportunities for nutrition feed supplements
and bio security products of Poultry, Aquaculture and Large animals domine in
the assigned territory.
Plan
and execute product promotion activities like farmer meetings, field
demonstrations, seminars, and participation in industry events.
Manage
and grow relationships with key stakeholders such as distributors, dealers,
integrators, veterinarians, and large poultry farms.
Provide
technical guidance and support through BDEs to the customers on product
application, dosage and benefits related to poultry nutrition, health, and
bio security practices.
Conduct
market research to gather data on competitors, pricing and trends.
Coordinate
closely with supply chain, marketing, technical teams to ensure product
availability, timely order execution and resolution of customer issues
Participate
in trade shows, exhibitions and customer engagement events.
Negotiate
contracts, pricing and terms with clients and partners.
Lead
and supervise a field sales team, including target setting, performance
monitoring, coaching, and capability -building initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Achieve
monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in the assigned territory.
Conduct
field visits to understand customer needs, track competitor activities, and
capture market trends for action.
Coordinate
with supply chain, marketing, technical services, and finance to ensure product
availability, schemes execution and issue resolution.
Handle
queries, complaints, and service issues promptly to ensure customer
satisfaction and retention.
Prepare
and submit sales reports, visit reports, forecasts, and market intelligence
updates to the Zonal Business Development Manager
Follow
company policies, pricing guidelines, documentation norms, and ethical
standards in all business activities.
Ability
to transform customer objections into opportunities for trust -building and
successful sales closure.
Continuous
follow ups with BDEs for timely collection of outstanding from the assigned
territories.

v Strong
understanding of poultry nutrition, feed supplements, and bio security concepts
relevant to farm -level application.
v Proven
experience in sales or business development, preferably in animal feed, animal
health.
v Ability
to develop and execute territory/business plans aligned with sales targets and
growth objectives.
v Excellent
selling, negotiation, and closing skills with a focus on value -based and
solution -oriented selling.
v Strong
relationship -building skills to engage and retain farmers, integrators,
dealers, and distributors.
v Competence
in market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and
improve positioning.
v Experience
in performance tracking, KPI monitoring and providing structured feedback to
team members.
v Strong
coordination skills to work closely with marketing, logistics, finance, and
technical support teams.
v Clear
verbal and written communication skills for farmer meetings, dealer
interactions, and management reporting.
v Confident
presentation and facilitation skills for product demos, trainings, and review
meetings.
v Proficiency
in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM or sales
reporting tools.
v Data -driven
mindset with the ability to interpret sales reports and field data to refine
strategy and action plans.
v High
result orientation with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales and growth
targets.
v Self -motivated,
disciplined, and capable of working independently in field conditions with
minimal supervision.
