Job Description - Business Development Manager (BDM)

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 900000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 9-25 LPA)

Min Experience: 4 years

Location: Delhi, Mumbai, banglore

JobType: full-time

We are seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to accelerate revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and client acquisition. The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of proven experience in B2B or B2C sales, strong negotiation capabilities, and a consistent track record of exceeding sales targets. This role requires a hunter mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to convert opportunities into long-term business partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities through outbound sales, networking, referrals, and market research
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Prepare customized proposals, commercial negotiations, and close high-value deals
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM updates
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align on go-to-market strategies
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and support account expansion opportunities

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales acumen with proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong prospecting and lead qualification expertise
  • Ability to build trust and long-term client relationships
  • Data-driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of consultative and solution-based selling
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven personality
  • CRM proficiency and structured sales process orientation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 4–8 years of experience in sales or business development roles
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth or competitive environments
