Job Description - Business Development Manager - India

Job Summary:
The Business Development Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the business development team’s efforts to expand the company’s market share and increase revenue. This role requires a combination of leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills.

Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Direct and supervise the business development team, setting goals, and providing guidance and support.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business strategies that align with the company’s long-term vision.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Client Relationships: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing potential new clients.
• Performance Monitoring: Track team performance against targets and implement strategies to improve results.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth.

Team Management:
• Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.
• Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.
• Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Adaptability:
• Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.
• Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

• Leadership by Example: Supervisors should model the behavior they expect from their team. This includes demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to the organization’s values.

Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Proven experience in business development with a track record of achieving growth targets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in CRM systems and data analysis tools.
