Job Description - Business Development Representative (BDR)

This role is for one of Weekday’s clients
Salary range: Rs 1200000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 12-25 LPA)
Min Experience: 3 years
Location: Bengaluru
JobType: full-time

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales and business development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities, building relationships with prospects, and working closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth. If you are a motivated, self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, events, and referrals.
  • Qualify Leads: Conduct discovery calls and needs analysis to qualify prospects, understand their business challenges, and assess potential fit for our offerings.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Develop and execute outbound strategies to connect with key decision-makers and generate interest in the company’s solutions.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with prospects in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration with Sales: Work closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads, schedule meetings or demos, and support deal closure.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer pain points to tailor your outreach and provide feedback to internal teams.
  • Follow-Up: Ensure timely and consistent follow-up with leads through emails, calls, and social media touchpoints to maintain engagement.
  • Pipeline Development: Build a healthy and consistent sales pipeline through proactive outreach and persistent engagement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a BDR, sales, or lead generation role, preferably in B2B or SaaS industries.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed lead generation and sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a high level of initiative and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools like Outreach, Salesloft, or similar is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand client needs and identify opportunities for value.
