We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer at Oragadam, Chennai to join our Purchase team on a full-time basis.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ensure on time Delivery, Paneling Cost-Effective Source, Ensure Alternate source for assigned commodity
• Ensure availability, Maintaining QMS records ( ISO 9001, IATF 16949 )
• Floating RFQ, Preparing Comparative Statement, Negotiation, Paneling optimum source, Drive supplier for long term association,
• Supplier Development for customized requirement
• Supplier Audit ( New Supplier Assessment, Sample lot, Pilot Lot, Mass Prod )
• Monitoring & Ensure Supplier performance Rating
• Co-ordinate with All CFT for day in day out activity ( Planning, PE, Quality, Prod, Logistics Accounts )
• Ensure on time delivery GRN, IR, COC availability, Payment release to supplier’s, Reconciliation of payment – Periodically
• Capex & Non BOM material Purchase (Identifying potential suppliers, negotiation and finalization of orders )
• Handling All Service Agreements (Ensure Validity of Agreement by regular review, Clearing of Monthly Bills)
• Scrap Disposal – Thru Auction

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Management (or equivalent).
• 10 years of experience in procurement / buying within a manufacturing or engineering-driven environment.
• Proven experience working with suppliers for BOM , Non-BOM and CAPEX procurement 

Core Procurement & Sourcing Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, RFQ management, and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to perform cost analysis, price benchmarking, and evaluate commodity market trends.
• Experience in supplier paneling, alternate source development, and long-term supplier relationship management.
• Demonstrated capability in supplier development for customized or engineered components

Technical Competencies:

• Understanding of Drawings,
• Process Knowledge ( Machining, PCBA, Cable Assy ),

Soft Skills: Communication, MRP ( QAD), MS Office, Presentation.
