The Role

Are you ready to take your procurement expertise to the next level? CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, India. As part of a global leader in industrial automation, you’ll play a vital role in sourcing goods, materials, and services that drive our manufacturing excellence. This role will report into the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets


• Ensure timely receipt of materials to support project schedules and resolve any quality or delivery issues


• Act as an interface between suppliers and internal departments for purchasing processes and new project activities


• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier developments


• Analyze costs (new and existing) and support cost reduction initiatives


• Prepare procurement reports and updates as needed


• Collaborate with procurement team to identify opportunities for process and business improvements


• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules


• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with consistent communication


• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures during negotiations and contract awards


• Compile supplier performance data for quarterly evaluations


• Resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues in collaboration with suppliers

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field


• 3–4 years of experience in Buying or Supply Chain Management


• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills


• Analytical and numerically astute with problem-solving abilities


• Commercial and financial awareness of procurement impact on operations


• Hands-on experience with integrated ERP systems and MS Office

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.

Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds.
