Job Description - Cable Harness Head

Role Objective

Lead the complete harness manufacturing operations at our flagship plant, driving

process excellence, customer satisfaction, and team performance across all major automotive

harness projects.

Key Responsibilities

End -to -end ownership of harness design, development, validation, and production
Interface with automotive OEM customers for technical queries and project execution
Manage a cross -functional team across production, quality, and R&
Optimize production processes to reduce cycle time and improve quality
Oversee PPAP, APQP, and ISO/TS 16949 documentation
Monitor project milestones, delivery timelines, and team KPIs
Collaborate with the SCM team for component planning and vendor development
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement (Kaizen, Six Sigma)
Ensure regulatory and safety compliance at all stages
Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers and supervisors

Requirements

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical or equivalent
Minimum 15 years’ experience in cable harness design and manufacturing
Strong knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, and harness routing tools
Experience with ISO/TS 16949, PPAP, and IATF audits
Excellent communication and customer -facing skills
Leadership mindset with team -building ability
