Cad Technician - Bridges

1. Develop detailed and accurate bridge design and construction drawings using CAD software, following project specifications, engineering standards, and codes.
2. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and provide technical support during the design and construction phases of bridge projects.
3. Create 3D models and visualizations of bridge structures to assess design feasibility and communicate ideas to stakeholders.
4. Prepare and update CAD drawings as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established project deadlines.
5. Conduct regular reviews of designs and identify any discrepancies or errors, providing suggestions for improvements and modifications when necessary.
6. Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, proposals, and specifications related to bridge design and construction.
7. Maintain a comprehensive archive of all CAD files and project documentation, ensuring that they are easily accessible and organized for future reference.
8. Stay updated with the latest CAD software and techniques, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a CAD Technician in the civil engineering field, preferably with a focus on bridge design and construction.
2. Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, etc.) and an understanding of 3D modeling techniques.
3. Strong technical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Familiarity with relevant codes, guidelines, and standards related to bridge design and construction (e.g., AASHTO, ACI).
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve design issues and discrepancies.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
8. A degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
9. Knowledge of GIS software and civil engineering software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) is an advantage.
