Description

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic CAD Technician to join the ‘UK iCRC Highways/Civil, Bridge & Ground/Rail’ CAD/BIM team in Bengaluru to work alongside our UK Highways/Civil, Bridge & Ground/Rail Engineering disciplines.
The successful candidate will be working in a team environment to develop and deliver projects through various stages of design from feasibility to planning/detailed design and construction.



Responsibilities

•    You will be working and supporting on a range of infrastructure schemes to independently develop engineering drawings in accordance with the relevant standards.
•    You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time.
•    You will be contributing to all types of projects.
•    You will be using MicroStation, AECOsim/Open Building Designer, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit MEP and other engineering BIM software for the production and development of drawings.
•    You will read and adher to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety including the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual.

Key Competencies
Mandatory Skills
•    Ability to utilise Microstation, AECOsim/OpenBuildings Designer, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Revit MEP in adherence to defined CAD standards to develop layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts.
•    Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.
•    Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings
•    Ability to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.
•    You should be able to demonstrate some experience and working knowledge of relevant technical design guidance and standards, such as ISO 19650, RIBA 2013, Uniclass 2015.
•    Proficient in the use of standard office software
•    Confidence to seek clarification of instructions and work scope.
•    Commitment to work as part of a design team focused on project delivery.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills

•    Knowledge of AECOsim/OpenBuildings Designer Connect Edition, ProjectWise and BIM relevant software’s.
•    UK Highways/Civil, Bridge & Ground/Rail project experience and knowledge of UK design standards is advantageous.
•    Bentley Accredited BIM Modeler and Autodesk Certified Professional.
 



Qualifications

•    At least one key area such as Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering with 4-7 years relevant work experience in Bentley BIM Software's.
•    Excellent working knowledge of AECOsim/OpenBuilding Designer, MicroStation, ProjectWise and Autodesk software.
•    Good working knowledge of the relevant Rail Engineering discipline.

•    Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
