Job Description & Summary

A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for preparation of complex returns and review of simple and medium tax computations - T1, T2, T3, T5013 in FRENCH LANGUAGE

  • Responsible for additional projects like SR&ED, PFIC, Safe income calculations, Surplus calculations, M&A, Various information returns, admin projects etc. 

  • Delivering a high-quality product within the agreed time frames. 

  • Provide day to day support to Managers to assist with the delivery of tax computations and client service. 

  • Liaise with various sub teams to enable collection and analysis of tax data. 

  • Deal with client queries in relation to data requests during data exchange by exception or as escalated. 

  • Participate in conference calls with the engagement team, other PwC team members and Clients. 

  • Buddying junior staff members on basic tax technical and tax compliance process matters. 

  • Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and expectations and provide high levels of client service. 

  • Responsible for day-to-day engagement team liaison. 

  • Follow firms’ best practice and policy around the compliance process. 

 Requirements

  • Proficiency in French (written and spoken). Strong communication skills for coordinating with bilingual (French & English) engagement teams
  • Ability to prepare, review tax returns and interpret French-language tax documents. Canadian Tax experience is preferred.
  • Work experience in the same industry for 4 + years. 

  • Should be able to handle a group of 3-5 associates 

  • Good communication skills. 

  • Attention to details and accuracy 

  • Ability to comprehend instructions and take ownership of work entrusted. 

  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools. 

  • Follow risk management and compliance procedures. 

  • Share and collaborate effectively with others, create a positive team spirit. 

  • Ability to handle large engagements 

  • Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own 

                  utilization. 

Committed, adaptive, flexible to work extended hours during peak tax compliance seasons.
