We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Head to lead and manage a key product category. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in category management, pricing, vendor relations, and P&L ownership. This role is pivotal in driving category growth, profitability, and operational excellence through collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Take full ownership of category P&L, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new opportunities.
• Lead vendor management, including sourcing, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
• Partner with marketing and product teams to define pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and key metrics to optimize category outcomes.
• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of category managers and executives to achieve performance targets.
• Continuously enhance category operations to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management.
• Demonstrated success in P&L ownership and driving business growth.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods sectors is preferred.
