Category Head - Skincare/Haircare

About the Company:

Our client is a fast-growing D2C consumer brand operating in the lifestyle and wellness space, focused on building meaningful and high-impact brand experiences. 

They are looking for a highly entrepreneurial and product-focused Category Head – Skincare & Haircare to lead and scale their personal care business across D2C, marketplaces, and omnichannel platforms.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

Category & Business Ownership

• Own and drive Skincare & Haircare category growth across D2C, marketplaces, and omnichannel.


• Build business plans, monitor performance, and identify opportunities through market and competitor analysis.

New Product Development & Innovation

• Lead end-to-end NPD with R&D, sourcing, and packaging teams.


• Identify white spaces, translate consumer insights into winning concepts, and stay ahead of global beauty trends and ingredient innovations.

Product Launches & GTM Strategy

• Own GTM strategies for new launches - positioning, pricing, communication, and channel planning.


• Collaborate cross-functionally for rollouts and optimize post-launch based on performance data.

Marketplace & Channel Growth

• Scale presence across Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, and key marketplaces. Optimize listings, assortment, visibility, and profitability through data-backed planning.

Inventory & Demand Planning

• Partner with supply chain to ensure accurate forecasting, healthy inventory levels, and minimal stock-outs or ageing risks.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with marketing, finance, operations, and growth teams.


• Build scalable processes, drive operational excellence, and mentor the category team as the business scales.
  
  
  
   

• ​​​​​​​Experience ~ 6-12 years in Category/Brand Management, preferably in Skincare/Haircare


• Strong understanding of D2C, marketplaces, and omnichannel business models.


• Strong exposure to NPD, product innovation, and product launch management


• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
