We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Category Lead – Oil to drive category growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The role involves managing end-to-end category operations, including revenue ownership, supplier engagement, pricing strategy, and procurement optimization. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of category plans, enhance supplier relationships, and identify opportunities for cost efficiency and value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and margin ownership for the assigned category or sub-category.
  • Conduct detailed market research and supplier analysis to support category strategy.
  • Collaborate with demand and planning teams to align value propositions with customer needs.
  • Independently manage specific sub-categories or regions, ensuring strong performance outcomes.
  • Lead price benchmarking, negotiations, and supplier contract management to achieve cost targets.
  • Maintain procurement dashboards, reports, and documentation accuracy.
  • Coordinate with regional buyers to align demand forecasts with supply and delivery schedules.
  • Track and ensure timely purchase order (PO) and contract execution.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, quality improvements, and sourcing diversification.
  • Work with planning teams to develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Monitor category KPIs such as revenue growth, margins, inventory turns, and data reporting accuracy.
