Category Lead - Sourcing

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Category Lead - Sourcing. This role is critical for establishing and strategically managing a new supply base for key component parts, supporting Aggreko's manufacturing facility and Global Procurement Hub. It requires commercial acumen in strategic sourcing, project procurement, contracting, and performance management, with close collaboration across Indian and global teams.

This leadership role requires an experienced professional in strategic sourcing and supplier management to act as a key contact for Aggreko's global manufacturing and service centers. The position is pivotal in managing critical supply relationships to support rapid business growth in India and other competitive markets.

What you’ll do:

• Strategic Supply Base Development: Identify, negotiate with, and establish a new strategic in-country supply base to serve Indian manufacturing and the Global Supply Hub.

• Contractual Frameworks & Category Strategy: Establish and manage contractual frameworks (including joint development agreements) and develop/communicate category strategies for specific sub-categories.

• Supplier Performance & Competitiveness: Benchmark suppliers for ongoing competitiveness, ensuring formal onboarding and robust supplier performance management programs.

• Global Collaboration & Demand Fulfillment: Work collaboratively with global stakeholders to understand business processes and ensure timely demand fulfillment for production and service.

• Ongoing Supplier Management & Risk Mitigation: Proactively manage in-scope suppliers and mitigate supply risks by developing alternative sources for leverage.

• Compliance & Ethical Sourcing: Ensure compliance with customs regulations, GST framework, import/export documentation (DGFT requirements), and uphold ethical sourcing standards aligned with Aggreko’s ESG and supplier code of conduct.

You are:

• Extensive Procurement & Sourcing Experience: Over 12 years in Project procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, adept at working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with a collaborative and challenging mindset.

• Indian Supply Base Expertise: Possesses strong commercial acumen and deep knowledge of the Indian supply base for electrical and mechanical components.

• Global Collaboration & Cultural Sensitivity: Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders across Aggreko’s global footprint, demonstrating self-awareness and appreciation for diverse cultures and languages.

• Effective Communication & Performance Focus: An authentic and inclusive communicator capable of navigating a fast-moving business and driving function performance against defined KPIs.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred, with an MBA or Post Graduate degree being a significant advantage.
