Role Overview

We are looking for a Category Manager who will be responsible for managing category operations end-to-end, including product sourcing, inventory planning, store operations, logistics, and category growth.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in E-commerce, Quick Commerce, or Pharmaceutical businesses and be comfortable working closely with pharmaceutical companies, store managers, operations, and logistics teams.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify fast-moving and slow-moving products, maintain the right product mix, and build the pipeline accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  Manage day-to-day category operations and resolve operational challenges

  
  


• 
  

  Source products and build relationships with large pharmaceutical companies and suppliers

  
  


• 
  

  Identify and resolve store-level operational issues in coordination with Store Managers and Operations teams

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with Store Managers to ensure smooth availability and movement of products

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving SKUs and take corrective actions accordingly

  
  


• 
  

  Build and maintain the category/product pipeline based on demand, sales trends, and inventory requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Plan product assortment and ensure availability of key products across stores

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, logistics, warehouse, and store operations teams

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, replenishment, and potential stock-outs

  
  


• 
  

  Identify ageing/slow-moving inventory and develop strategies to improve movement

  
  


• 
  

  Track category performance, sales, availability, fill rates, and other relevant metrics

  
  


• 
  

  Work on improving operational efficiency and resolving bottlenecks across the category

  
  


• 
  

  Use data and market insights to identify opportunities for category growth

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely product sourcing and delivery

  
  

Must-Have Requirements

• 
  

  Experience in Category Management, Category Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related roles

  
  


• 
  

  Prior experience in E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Pharmaceutical, Retail, or similar businesses

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of product sourcing and procurement

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing inventory and product assortment

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of fast-moving and slow-moving products/SKUs

  Experience working with stores/store managers and operations teams

  Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
