Position Overview:
The CEO will be responsible for leading and scaling all verticals of the company, excluding the investment management function. This includes oversight of business development, operations, compliance, client servicing, technology, marketing, product development, and international expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of building business, particularly in the GCC region, and possess an in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks including operations within GIFT City (IFSC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic and operational initiatives across all non-investment verticals to drive growth, profitability, and sustainability.
- Oversee business development and expansion with a particular focus on the GCC markets, forging strategic alliances and building distribution networks.
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations, client servicing, legal & compliance, product development, and marketing teams.
- Build and execute a robust GIFT City strategy, leveraging its regulatory advantages and ecosystem for international business.
- Ensure the company complies with SEBI regulations and maintains high standards of governance and risk management.
- Drive digital transformation and operational efficiency through the implementation of new technologies and platforms.
- Serve as a key representative of the company with clients, regulators, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with the CIO and investment team to align business objectives with investment strategy (excluding direct management of investments).
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience (minimum 15 years) in leadership roles within financial services, preferably in PMS, wealth management, or asset management.
- Demonstrated success in business development, especially in the GCC region (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, etc.).
- Strong understanding of international financial centres, particularly GIFT City familiarity with compliance, tax, and structuring frameworks.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent preferred.
