Key Responsibilities
Engineering Change Management
- Review and interpret Engineering Changes released through Development Release (DR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to identify required updates in the Bill of Materials (BOM) and associated documents.
- Set up Engineering Change Orders within the manufacturing system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with engineering intent.
- Monitor ECO implementation progress to ensure timely and correct deployment across manufacturing and supply chain operations.
BOM Setup & System Updates
- Update and maintain Bills of Materials and related system configurations based on approved engineering changes.
- Regularly review pending DRs and ECOs to realign priorities based on DR dispositions, supply/demand fluctuations, and system constraints.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Communicate engineering changes to EMS sites and manufacturing partners.
- Gather implementation plans from EMS teams and track adherence to timelines and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations teams to ensure seamless change implementation.
Issue Analysis & Problem Solving
- Analyze system discrepancies, BOM mismatches, or implementation gaps to identify root causes.
- Make timely decisions for issues requiring immediate resolution.
- Compare data from different sources to draw accurate conclusions and recommend corrective actions.
Communication
- Effectively convey information via email, reports, and meetings to individuals or cross‑functional teams.
- Provide clear status updates, risks, and implementation progress to stakeholders.
Adaptability & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude during organizational or process changes.
- Accept feedback constructively and adjust work behaviors to improve outcomes.
- Look for opportunities to improve the engineering change process for higher efficiency and accuracy.
Customer Focus
- Prioritize internal and external customer satisfaction by ensuring timely closure of change-related issues.
- Track performance feedback and take necessary actions to resolve concerns effectively.
