Job Description - Chartered Accountant (CA)

The Chartered Accountant (CA) will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting systems, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, project accounting, and internal controls. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of real estate finance, GST, taxation, audit procedures, and regulatory compliance applicable to the real estate industry.
The ideal candidate must be capable of supporting management with financial analysis, cost optimization, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
Prepare and review:
Financial Statements
Balance Sheets
Profit & Loss Statements
Cash Flow Statements
MIS Reports
Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts and accounting records.
Monitor project-wise accounting and revenue recognition.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
GST
TDS
Income Tax
ROC Filings
Companies Act
RERA-related financial compliance
Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and income tax documents.
Handle tax assessments, notices, and departmental communications.
Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors.

3. Audit & Internal Controls
Manage internal audits, statutory audits, and financial reviews.
Ensure implementation of proper financial controls and SOPs.
Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

4. Real Estate Project Accounting
Monitor project costing, budgeting, and expense tracking.
Analyze project profitability, cash flow, and financial feasibility.
Manage contractor payments, vendor reconciliation, and customer account records.
Support land acquisition and project finance documentation.

5. Budgeting & Financial Planning
Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.
Provide financial insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
Support management in strategic financial decision-making.

6. Banking & Treasury Management
Handle banking transactions, reconciliations, and fund management.
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions regarding loans, project funding, and working capital.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity management.

7. Compliance & Documentation
Maintain proper financial and statutory documentation.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial reports.
Assist in legal and financial due diligence processes.
Support ERP implementation and financial process automation.


Requirements

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification mandatory.
3–8+ years of experience in finance, accounts, taxation, or audit functions.
Prior experience in real estate, construction, or infrastructure industry preferred.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and RERA compliance.
Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting software.
