Chief Consultant Paediatrician & Neonatologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical care to neonates, infants, and children.
  

• Supervise and lead the paediatrics and NICU team including junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
  

• Manage Level II/III NICU including ventilated and critically ill neonates.
  

• Oversee all paediatric inpatient and outpatient services.
  

• Ensure clinical protocols, guidelines, and safety practices are adhered to.
  

• Collaborate with obstetricians for antenatal counselling and delivery room management.
  

• Participate in case discussions, mortality reviews, and quality assurance activities.
  

• Train and mentor junior doctors and staff in paediatric/neonatal care.
  

• Handle administrative duties related to department budgeting, planning, and reporting.
  

• Participate in CME programs, workshops, and conferences to promote knowledge sharing.
  

Desired Skills:

• Strong leadership and decision -making abilities.
  

• Expertise in advanced neonatal care (ventilation, surfactant therapy, etc.).
  

• Excellent communication and counselling skills with parents.
  

• Knowledge of NABH/JCI standards and clinical documentation.
  

• Experience with hospital information systems (HIS) is an advantage.
