We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and governance of a large-scale retail gems and jewellery enterprise based in Surat, Gujarat. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for financial stewardship, long-term value creation, and strategic decision-making. The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, partnering closely with promoters and the Board to support business expansion, strengthen governance, and drive financial excellence. Beyond managing numbers, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the organization’s future through disciplined capital planning, robust controls, and IPO readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the organization’s long-term growth objectives.
Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on expansion plans, investments, capital allocation, and profitability improvement.
Support enterprise-wide decision-making with data-driven financial insights.
Financial Planning, Reporting & Control
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Establish and monitor financial KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to track business health.
Governance, Compliance & IPO Readiness
Strengthen internal controls, financial governance frameworks, and statutory compliance.
Lead financial preparedness initiatives for IPO or public-market compliance, including coordination with auditors, legal advisors, and consultants.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and disclosure norms.
Risk Management
Identify financial, operational, and market risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Safeguard organizational assets while promoting ethical financial practices and strong compliance culture.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounts team.
Work closely with operations, merchandising, supply chain, and business heads to enable integrated financial planning.
Promote financial discipline and data-driven thinking across the organization.
What Makes You a Great Fit
You are a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with significant experience in senior financial leadership roles such as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance.
You bring strong exposure to large-scale retail, manufacturing, or consumer-driven businesses, ideally within complex, high-growth environments.
You have hands-on experience with financial controls, governance frameworks, capital structuring, and regulatory compliance, including IPO-related preparedness.
You possess a strategic mindset, combining analytical rigor with business acumen to influence enterprise-level decisions.
You are a proven leader with excellent stakeholder management skills, high integrity, and the ability to operate confidently at Board and promoter level.
