The CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (CHRO) will be responsible for developing and executing the Human Resource strategy in support of the overall plan and strategic direction of the HINDUSTAN GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, specifically in the areas of Talent Management, Change Management, Organizational and Performance Management, Training and Development, Employee Relations, Compliance and Compensation. He / She will provide strategic leadership by articulating the HR needs and plans to the Management team, faculty, and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic HR Leadership - Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the Group's overall mission and objectives.
2. Talent Acquisition and Management - Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure the Group attracts, hires, and retains top talent. Establish career development programs to support employee growth and succession planning.
3. Performance Management - Implement performance management systems to evaluate and enhance employee performance.
4. Training and Development - Identify training needs across the Group and develop programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
5. Compensation and Benefits - Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with the Group's goals and industry benchmarks. Regularly review and update compensation structures to maintain market competitiveness.
6. Employee Relations - Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
7. Change Management - Lead and manage change initiatives across the Group.
8. HR Operations - Oversee the efficient & effective day-to-day operations of the HR department including implementing HR technologies to streamline processes and improving service delivery. Must ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data & records.
9. Compliance - Ensure compliance with all labour laws and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Human Resources
- At least 20 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies, practices, and regulations in India.
- Experience in the education sector and knowledge of Tamil language is preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
