Job Description: Citrix Linux VDA Engineer

Experience: 6–8 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Citrix Engineer with hands-on expertise in Citrix Linux Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA), Citrix Cloud, and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops administration. The candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting virtual desktop infrastructure and related Citrix components.

Key Responsibilities

  Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Citrix Linux Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA).

  
  


• 
  

  Manage Citrix Cloud environments and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops infrastructure.

  
  


• 
  

  Administer and support Desktop Delivery Controllers (DDC), Citrix Studio, and Citrix Director.

  
  


• 
  

  Configure and maintain Citrix Cloud Connectors and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor virtual desktop performance, session availability, and application delivery.

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot Linux VDA registration, launch failures, authentication, and session connectivity issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Support Linux operating systems and their integration with Citrix VDI environments.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with Omnissa, VMware Horizon, or other remote desktop and virtualization solutions.

  
  


• 
  

  Support infrastructure automation and CI/CD activities using Jenkins and DevOps tools, where applicable.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to resolve technical issues.

  
  

Essential Skills

• 
  

  Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Linux VDA.

  
  


• 
  

  Citrix Cloud Solutions and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.

  
  


• 
  

  Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller (DDC).

  
  


• 
  

  Citrix Studio and Citrix Director.

  
  


• 
  

  Citrix Cloud Connector installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Omnissa, VMware Horizon, or other remote desktop solutions.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills.

  
  

Desirable Skills

• 
  

  Linux administration, including RHEL, Ubuntu, or SUSE.

  Knowledge of Jenkins, DevOps practices, and automation.

  Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), remote access, and session management.

  Familiarity with enterprise authentication, networking, and access management.

  
  

Candidate Profile

  6–8 years of relevant experience in Citrix administration, virtualization, or EUC/VDI infrastructure.

  Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

  Experience supporting enterprise-scale virtual desktop environments.
