We are seeking an experienced Citrix Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, and Citrix XenServer, along with hands-on experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware and cloud environments like Microsoft Azure. This role demands a proactive professional who can ensure system stability, optimize performance, and support enterprise-level virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, Deploy, and Maintain Citrix Infrastructure:
  Plan, install, configure, and manage Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and Citrix XenServer environments to deliver reliable virtual desktop and application services.
• Virtualization Management:
  Oversee and optimize VMware virtualization environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization, scalability, and high availability.
• Cloud Integration:
  Implement and manage Citrix workloads hosted on Microsoft Azure, integrating with hybrid or cloud-native environments to enhance flexibility and performance.
• System Administration:
  Maintain and troubleshoot Citrix components, including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, and Workspace Environment Management (WEM), ensuring consistent uptime and end-user satisfaction.
• Performance Optimization:
  Monitor Citrix infrastructure performance, analyze logs, and apply fixes or improvements to enhance speed, reliability, and user experience.
• User Access & Security:
  Configure secure remote access solutions, manage user profiles, policies, and permissions, and ensure compliance with corporate and security standards.
• Incident & Problem Management:
  Act as a technical escalation point for Citrix-related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Automation & Scripting:
  Develop automation scripts (PowerShell or similar) to streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures. Provide regular reports on system performance, capacity, and health.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of Citrix solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4–12 years of hands-on experience managing Citrix environments.
• Proven expertise in Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, and Citrix XenServer setup, configuration, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies and tools (vSphere, ESXi).
• Experience in deploying and managing Citrix solutions on Microsoft Azure (including Azure Virtual Desktop integration).
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Understanding of load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery principles.
• Scripting knowledge (preferably PowerShell) for task automation and configuration management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Citrix or VMware certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, VCP) are highly desirable.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in large-scale enterprise Citrix deployments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Citrix Director, NetScaler, and ControlUp.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security protocols in virtualized environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
