Civil Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail -oriented and experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation, quantity take -off, billing, and contract administration for civil construction projects. The role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure accurate cost control, timely billing, and effective project financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and site data.
  
• Perform accurate quantity take -off from AutoCAD drawings and project documents.
  
• Conduct rate analysis for various construction items based on market trends.
  
• Prepare cost estimates during project planning and execution stages.
  
• Reconcile estimated quantities with contractor billed quantities.
  

Billing & Certification

• Prepare and verify client billing and interim payment certificates.
  
• Certify sub -contractor bills after verification of work completed.
  
• Maintain and update measurement books (M -Book) and site records.
  
• Ensure accurate documentation for all billing and payment processes.
  
• Generate client invoices as per required formats and contractual terms.
  

Cost Control & Financial Monitoring

• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget.
  
• Track material consumption, variations, and cost deviations.
  
• Prepare cost analysis reports and project financial summaries (CTC).
  
• Identify cost -saving opportunities and report variances.
  

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Assist in procurement planning by forecasting material quantities.
  
• Coordinate with procurement team for material sourcing and vendor finalization.
  
• Participate in contractor negotiation and rate finalization.
  
• Evaluate vendor/sub -contractor performance.
  

Site Coordination & Execution Support

• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and measurements.
  
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project teams.
  
• Supervise and ensure coordination between civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
  
• Monitor contractor work progress and resolve quantity -related issues.
  

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare MIS reports on project progress, cost, and billing status.
  
• Maintain complete project documentation including variations and claims.
  
• Support in collection of payments and follow -ups with clients.
  
• Report project status and financial updates to Head – Projects.
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in Quantity Surveying & BOQ preparation
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (for quantity extraction)
  
• Strong knowledge of rate analysis and cost estimation
  
• Experience in billing, certification, and M -book maintenance
  
• Understanding of construction materials and market rates
  
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
  
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  
• Strong communication and coordination abilities
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
