This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Data Engineer based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to design and build large-scale cloud data ecosystems powering analytics, reporting, and advanced data-driven decision-making.
You will work across leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP to develop robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines.
The position involves architecting modern data lakes and data warehouses using technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, and Synapse.
You will be responsible for ensuring seamless data integration from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and enterprise ERP systems.
A strong focus is placed on performance optimization, data quality, governance, and end-to-end reliability of data workflows.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful cloud data solutions.

Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud-native tools such as AWS Glue, AWS DMS, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, and GCP Dataflow.
- Architect and implement modern data lakes and data warehouses across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and loading workflows using platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Azure Synapse.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including APIs, relational databases, and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability through validation frameworks and best engineering practices.
- Monitor and optimize performance of data pipelines and large-scale processing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define and deliver data solutions.
- Document architectures, workflows, and technical implementations while maintaining existing data platforms and pipelines.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Cloud Engineer working with large-scale data systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Expertise in building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as AWS Glue, AWS DMS, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, and GCP Dataflow.
- Proficiency in data platforms including Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, BigQuery, and Azure Synapse.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, with deep knowledge of SQL and query optimization.
- Experience with Spark and Scala for distributed data processing.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL architecture principles.
- Familiarity with SAP or ERP data extraction is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering environments is a plus.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are considered an advantage.
