This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Operations - Manager based in India.
This role sits at the heart of large-scale cloud operations supporting mission-critical SaaS platforms running on modern infrastructure across AWS and OCI. You will lead operational teams responsible for ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of Kubernetes-based environments serving global supply chain systems. The position combines technical depth with leadership responsibility, requiring you to guide engineers while actively improving incident response, automation, and service reliability. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineering, and client-facing teams to ensure smooth deployments and efficient operations. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and focused on continuous improvement across cloud-native platforms. This is a leadership role where operational excellence directly impacts global customers and business continuity.
Accountabilities
You will lead and evolve cloud operations for large-scale SaaS platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed systems in cloud environments. You will manage incident response, operational workflows, and engineering coordination while driving automation and process improvements.
- Manage and mentor a Cloud Operations team supporting Kubernetes-based SaaS applications across AWS and OCI environments.
- Oversee incident management, SLA compliance, alert response, and escalation handling to ensure platform reliability.
- Lead operational triage, ticket prioritization, and coordination with client services and engineering teams.
- Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code and scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Support troubleshooting across OS, application, container, and infrastructure layers in complex production environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure and operational processes.
- Ensure successful rollout of new technologies while maintaining operational stability and performance standards.
Requirements
The role requires strong experience in cloud operations leadership, hands-on technical expertise in distributed systems, and the ability to manage high-performing teams in complex production environments. You should combine operational depth with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- 5+ years in cloud or infrastructure operations roles, including 3+ years in a leadership or management position.
- Strong experience supporting large-scale applications in AWS and OCI environments.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes-based architectures and containerized workloads.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments, including system-level troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and automation tools like Python, Ansible, or PowerShell.
- Strong background in incident management, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and modern DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills in high-pressure environments.
