We are looking for hands-on electronics
manufacturing professional to lead appliance production operations at the cluster/plant level. This role is the execution engine of owning shop floor performance, electronics assembly quality, team productivity, and operational metrics day to day.
• Manage end-to-end production of appliances across assigned cluster — PCB assembly, SMT lines, power board testing, coil assembly, and
final box-build
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production output targets with high OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Drive shift planning, manpower allocation, and throughput efficiency across assembly lines
• Lead Lean / Kaizen initiatives to reduce cycle time, rework, and material wastage
2. Electronics Assembly & Process Ownership
• Own SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole soldering processes for control boards and power PCBs
• Ensure correct setup and calibration of SMT machines, reflow ovens, wave soldering, and ICT fixtures
• Monitor IGBT assembly, coil gap tolerances, and power board functional performance
• Implement and enforce ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and IPC class standards across the line
3. Quality, Testing & Compliance
• Drive first-pass yield (FPY) targets and reduce field return / defect rates on appliances products.
• Ensure all products comply with BIS IS 302-2-6 standards before dispatch
• Lead root cause analysis (8D / 5-Why) for production defects and implement corrective actions
4. Component & Material Management
• Manage material flow on the shop floor — kitting, WIP control, and inventory accuracy
• Track and flag component quality issues; coordinate with incoming QC and vendors for resolution
5. Team Leadership
• Lead a team of 30–80 operators, technicians, and line supervisors across the cluster
• Drive daily production huddles, skill development programs, and cross-training of technicians
• Maintain discipline, safety compliance (OSHA/factory act), and a positive shop floor culture
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Strong hands-on electronics background — SMT operations, IGBT-based power electronics, PCB assembly, and functional testing
• Experience managing a high-volume assembly line or cluster in companies.
• Practical knowledge of BIS certification processes, IPC-A-610 standards, and ISO 9001 QMS
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; hands-on with OEE tracking, SMED, and line balancing
