As a Cluster Recovery Manager, you will oversee a team of field recovery executives, coordinate with legal and collection agencies, and develop effective recovery strategies tailored to high-risk and non-performing assets in the home loan segment. This role demands strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in loan recovery, and the ability to manage stakeholders across locations and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recovery & Collection Strategy:
  Design and implement robust recovery strategies to minimize delinquency and maximize recoveries in the home loan portfolio across the assigned cluster.
• Team Management:
  Manage, mentor, and monitor the performance of recovery officers and field executives; ensure productivity targets are met for each branch under the cluster.
• Delinquency Control:
  Drive efforts to reduce NPAs and overdue accounts by conducting root cause analysis, borrower profiling, and deploying segment-specific collection approaches.
• Portfolio Monitoring:
  Regularly review overdue accounts, generate recovery dashboards, and report key metrics to the regional recovery head or zonal office.
• Customer Engagement:
  Interact directly with defaulting borrowers for resolution, including negotiation, settlement, or restructuring based on internal guidelines.
• Legal Coordination:
  Work closely with the legal team to initiate or follow up on legal actions such as SARFAESI, arbitration, or court proceedings for chronic defaulters.
• Agency & Vendor Management:
  Liaise with third-party collection agencies, recovery vendors, and legal counsel to ensure timely and ethical recovery practices.
• Compliance & Documentation:
  Ensure that all recovery processes are conducted in compliance with RBI guidelines, internal SOPs, and fair practices code.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Experience:
  2–6 years of hands-on experience in collections or recovery, preferably in the home loan or secured loan segment.
• Educational Qualification:
  Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline. Candidates with degrees in finance or business will be preferred.
• Domain Knowledge:
  Deep understanding of the home loan recovery process, NPAs, SARFAESI, collection cycles, and field recovery operations.
• Analytical Thinking:
  Ability to analyze default trends, assess recovery risks, and suggest data-backed recovery plans.
• Interpersonal Skills:
  Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, especially while dealing with borrowers, agencies, and legal teams.
• Mobility:
  Willingness to travel frequently within the cluster to manage ground-level recovery operations.
