Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Edge Banding Machine Operator to join our team. The Edge Banding Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC edge banding machines to ensure the efficient and accurate application of edge bands on cabinet components. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of CNC machinery, edge banding processes, and production standards.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

·      Machine Setup and Operation:

o   Set up edge banding machines according to production specifications and work orders.

o   Operate edge banding machines to apply edge bands to cabinet components accurately.

o   Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

·      Quality Control:

o   Inspect materials before and after the edge banding process to ensure they meet quality standards.

o   Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the edge banding process.

o   Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

·      Maintenance:

o   Perform routine maintenance on edge banding machines to ensure they operate efficiently.

o   Troubleshoot and resolve any machine malfunctions or operational issues.

o   Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the maintenance department.

·      Safety and Compliance:

o   Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

o   Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

o   Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

·      Documentation and Reporting:

·      Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, machine settings, and maintenance logs.

·      Report production progress and any issues to the Production Manager.

·      Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.

·      Collaboration:

o   Work closely with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

o   Communicate effectively with the design and engineering teams to understand product specifications and requirements.

Qualifications:

·      Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in CNC machine operation is preferred.

·      Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC edge banding machines or similar CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.

·      Skills and Competencies:

o   Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting CNC edge banding machines.

o   Strong understanding of edge banding processes and materials.

o   Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

o   Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

o   Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

o   Strong communication and teamwork skills.
