Description

We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Coastal Engineer to support the design and delivery of coastal and marine infrastructure projects. The role involves contributing to the design of coastal protection works, beach design, marina developments, intake and outfall design, dredging works, and navigation works.



Responsibilities
  • Design and engineering of coastal protection structures, including breakwaters, revetments, seawalls, groynes, and shoreline protection systems.
  • Design of intake and outfall systems, including the design of intake towers, anchor blocks, pipeline profiling, and determination of elevations for intake and outfall chambers (onshore and offshore)
  • Assist in beach design and nourishment studies, including development of beach profiles, understanding sediment characteristics, evaluating shoreline response, and supporting preliminary erosion/accretion assessments.
  • Support the preparation of dredging design and marine earthworks, including determination of dredge levels (based on navigation and hydraulic requirements), basin and channel geometry development, estimation of dredging quantities and material characteristics
  • Support scour assessment and sediment-related evaluations, including estimation of local scour, understanding sediment movement, and contributing to protective design measures.
  • Prepare and check engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with CAD/BIM teams for preparation of drawings, including cross-sections, layout plans, and details, and review drawings to ensure alignment with engineering design intent.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate inputs into marine design and ensure coordinated delivery.
  • Support project execution by adhering to project timelines, quality standards, and internal review processes, while progressively taking ownership of assigned design tasks.
