If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.\n\nWe are currently seeking a Collibra Consultant to join our team in Bangalore, Karn\u0101taka (IN-KA), India (IN).\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nData Catalog Management\n\n * Maintain and enhance the enterprise data catalog by onboarding new datasets, metadata, and data assets.\n * Ensure datasets are properly documented with accurate metadata, ownership, classifications, and descriptions.\n * Work with data owners and stewards to improve catalog completeness and usability.\n\n\n\nBusiness Glossary Administration\n\n * Develop and manage the business glossary, ensuring consistent definitions for business terms across the organization.\n * Collaborate with business stakeholders to standardize terminology and maintain alignment with data assets.\n * Establish governance processes for term creation, approval, and lifecycle management.\n\n\n\nWorkflow Management\n\n * Configure and manage data governance workflows including term approvals, asset onboarding, policy management, and stewardship activities.\n * Monitor workflow execution and ensure timely approvals and escalations.\n * Continuously improve workflow efficiency and governance processes.\n * Create custom workflows as per requirement.\n\n\n\nData Lineage Management\n\n * Capture, document, and maintain end-to-end data lineage from source systems through transformation to consumption layers.\n * Support impact analysis for data changes and ensure traceability across data pipelines.\n * Work closely with data engineering teams to validate lineage accuracy.\n * Support impact analysis and root cause analysis by tracing upstream and downstream dependencies of critical data elements.\n * Validate and reconcile automated lineage generated by governance or metadata tools with actual data pipelines and transformations.\n * Debug and troubleshoot technical lineage issues, including incorrect or missing lineage relationships caused by ETL jobs, SQL transformations, data pipelines, or ingestion connectors.\n * Work closely with data engineers and architects to investigate lineage breaks, resolve metadata ingestion problems, and ensure lineage accuracy.\n\n\n\nEdge Administration\n\n * Manage edge components or connectors that integrate external systems with the data governance platform.\n * Configure and maintain connectivity between governance tools and source systems.\n * Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure stable metadata ingestion.\n\n\n\nData Governance Operations\n\n * Support the implementation and adoption of data governance policies, standards, and best practices.\n * Partner with data stewards to improve data quality, ownership, and accountability.\n * Provide training and support to business users on governance tools and processes.\n\n\n\nStakeholder Collaboration\n\n * Work with data owners, stewards, architects, and engineers to drive governance adoption.\n * Support governance councils and working groups with insights and documentation.\n * Assist in reporting governance metrics and maturity improvements.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field.\n * 3+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data management roles.\n * Hands-on experience with data catalog and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, Informatica EDC, Atlan, etc.).\n * Strong experience with:\n * Data catalog management\n * Business glossary creation and governance\n * Workflow configuration\n * Data lineage documentation\n * Metadata management\n * Experience supporting edge integrations or connectors for governance platforms.\n * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks.\n * Familiarity with data quality management practices.\n * Experience working with data warehouses, data lakes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\n * Knowledge of SQL, ETL pipelines, and data architecture concepts.\n * Experience in metadata automation and lineage extraction tools.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nKey Competencies\n\n * Data governance expertise\n * Metadata management\n * Process and workflow design\n * Stakeholder collaboration\n * Data lineage analysis\n * Documentation and standards development\n\n\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
