Job Description - Commercial Consultant

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Min Experience: 9 years

Location: Bengaluru, NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai

JobType: full-time

We are seeking an Industry Leader / Commercial Consultant to drive the growth, productivity, and transformation of Sales & Marketing functions for Life Sciences clients. The role focuses on advising and delivering cutting-edge commercial solutions across the value chain, helping clients innovate, optimize, and scale their commercial operations globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a recognized industry expert in Life Sciences Commercials, providing thought leadership and speaking at industry forums.
  • Define and shape the future roadmap for Commercial functions, including strategy, innovation, and technology adoption.
  • Lead end-to-end solutioning across Commercial business processes with supporting IT solutions.
  • Develop and deliver functional and technology solutions, proposals, PoVs, whitepapers, marketing collateral, and practice offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, engaging with leadership on emerging trends, commercial strategy, and IT-enabled solutions.
  • Drive partnerships and alliances with leading technology vendors in Life Sciences Commercials space.
  • Guide the development of frameworks and solutions for areas such as Closed Loop Marketing, Multi-Channel Marketing, Patient Engagement, HCP 360-degree View, SFA, CRM, Gen AI, and more.
  • Mentor and train junior consultants, fostering expertise in Commercial processes and solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Recognized expertise in Life Sciences Sales & Marketing, including CRM, Digital Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales Force Automation, Sales Effectiveness, Sales Reporting, Enterprise Marketing Management, and related processes.
  • Experience with commercial IT products and platforms, such as SFDC, Veeva, Adobe AEM, Model N/Revitas.
  • Track record of leading solution development and proposals for large Pharma Sales & Marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Data-driven mindset with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and client engagement skills, including experience interacting with CxO-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous environments with strategic thinking and execution focus.

Candidate Profile

  • Self-driven, strategic, and results-oriented with a strong execution focus.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Creativity in analysis, problem-solving, and presentation.
  • Willingness to travel frequently as per client/project needs.

Domain Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of Commercial value chain in Pharma, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, CRO, and Consumer Health.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial business processes, including CRM, SFA, Digital Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales Reporting, Customer Experience, and Commercial Analytics.
  • Expertise in supporting IT landscapes and platforms that enable Commercial operations.
  • Global project exposure with a focus on US market (mandatory) and EU/global markets (preferred).

Educational Background

  • B Pharm / BS / B Tech / M Tech / BE + MBA (Pharmaceutical Management is an advantage)
