Position Summary:
The Commercial Specialist (CS) has broad responsibilities related to cost estimation, customer service and sales. As business professional the primary function of the CS is to build key relationships with CS peers, Local/Regional/Global Sales Managers, with Operations, with Projects and customers. Essentially, they are the central hub between all departments with the organization for Proposal management. They are responsible for executing or supporting the business processes between those groups efficiently, consistently and with clear communication. The CS is a key role for the organization that allows interaction with all aspects of the business and is a great position for anyone with experience or someone with the positive attitude willing to learn. This position extends the opportunity to learn our business within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Power Generation industries.
CSs have duties and responsibilities in the following areas:
Proposal Management
The Commercial Specialist is primarily responsible for the generation and on-time submission of proposals to the customer. The Commercial Specialist coordinates and communicates with all necessary stakeholders to ensure submission of proposals. During the proposal process Commercial Specialist serves as liaison between customer, projects and operations for any commercial and/or technical clarification.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing the proposal generation process within the Business Management System and with “First time right approach”
Revise or create proposals based upon needs of the customer and handle any necessary clarifications
Pro-active role in driving the proposal management by managing all technical and commercial risks with support of other stakeholders
Ensure all proposals are reviewed per Sulzer’s internal delegation of authority and create the opportunity specific calculations
Manage the storage / archiving of the proposals and related information
Screening of the Terms and Conditions and coordination of the review and modification of T&C’s with Legal and Commercial managers
Support the regional/local/global sales team in all commercial matters to achieve the projects.
Work with Salesforce and D365(Dynamics – ERP) for data management and maintain appropriate data quality

Projects - Handover and Support
The Commercial Specialist will be responsible for clear order handover, by following the Sulzer’s order acceptance and order handover processes, to the Projects team. Furthermore, the Commercial Specialist shall support, in case necessary, the Projects team to ensure timely deliverables of products and services, timely invoicing and payment collection.
Quality / Continuous Improvement
The Commercial Specialist is responsible for supporting the companies Quality / Lean initiatives to improve and add value to our customer’s experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain skills and procedures required for the generation of the highest quality proposals
Support operations quality improvements
ESH (Environmental, Safety and Health)

Responsibilities:
Takes personal responsibility for their own, and co-worker’s safety
Identify problems and areas of improvement and notify management accordingly
Ensure customer visitors have received the required safety induction, are properly signed in and have the required PPE while on shop visits
Other
In addition to above the Commercial Specialist will be responsible for -
Developing an understanding of business, financials, the market and of Sulzer’s products & services
Visiting customers and suppliers as and when required for Business and Training purposes – Travel <15%
Generate analysis by translating data into visuals & reports and dashboards to present target setting and achievements.
Account management, Acting as Primary contact or Single Point of Contact for customer, if necessary.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Relevant work experience in Commercial team/Application Engineering/Inside Sales
Relevant work experience and/or Gas Turbine experience and/or Services experience will be preferred
Proficient use of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel), Power Point and CRM proficiency
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Time management skills
Understanding of basic financial and contractual concepts
Ability to influence at all levels within the job area through explanation of facts and reference to policies and practices
Competencies and behaviour required
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Excellent developed communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
· The ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization

· · Delivering quotes to Local/Regional/Global Sales Managers in a timely manner / Turn Around Time
· Volume sharing within the team
· Creating Standardized packages to support Commercial Excellence
· Maintain data quality and document the information in systematic and organized way
· Recording all relevant correspondence surrounding a tender/pre-qualification
· Initiates activities with a proactive attitude in order to verify the set objectives in his or her team/region
