Job Description - Communication Designer

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a leading textile and carpet manufacturing company with a strong reputation for craftsmanship and export excellence. Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Communication Designer to develop engaging visual narratives that reflect craft, culture, materials, and people. The ideal candidate should combine strong visual design capabilities with storytelling, research, and an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create visual communication for social media, exhibitions, print materials, presentations, and digital platforms.

- Develop compelling visual narratives from research, craft processes, materials, and cultural stories.

- Maintain consistent design systems, layouts, and communication guidelines across projects.

- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen and evolve the brandâs visual identity.

- Visit craft clusters and field locations to document artisans, processes, materials, and stories.

- Translate field research and documentation into meaningful visual and editorial content.

- Work with typography, imagery, layouts, and other design elements to create effective communication materials.

- Support the organization and maintenance of visual archives, research materials, and design assets.

Requirements

- 2â4 years of relevant experience in communication design, visual design, or a related creative field.

- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom.

- Strong understanding of typography, composition, layouts, and visual storytelling.

- Knowledge of print production processes and digital communication formats.

- Illustration and sketching capabilities will be an added advantage.

- Experience in motion graphics, video content, or editorial design is desirable.

- Willingness to travel to craft clusters and project locations when required.

- Proficiency in spoken Bengali would be an advantage.
