Purpose

The Communications Manager is responsible for shaping and amplifying Rishihood University's voice across internal and external audiences. This role leads the planning and execution of strategic communications that strengthen the University's reputation, elevate thought leadership, and engage prospective students, parents, faculty, industry partners, media, and the wider community.

Reporting to the Assistant Director – Branding & Communications, the Communications Manager works closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure that every communication reflects Rishihood University's mission, values, and institutional vision.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategize institutional newsletters: (LinkedIn newsletter and others)

  • Agency management: Drive Digital PR and coordinate with media partners

  • LinkedIn Communication Management: Manage leadership communications, including LinkedIn posts, speeches, Op-Eds, and thought leadership

  • Social Media Comment Management: Ensure timely responses on Inbox, comments and reshares

  • Admissions Emails: Plan and execute parent communications across the student lifecycle

  • High-Stake Communications: Manage communications for founders, donors, partners, and other key stakeholders

  • Internal Communications: Copy for posters and emailers across the Rishihood ecosystem


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field

  • 4–7 years of experience in communications, PR, content marketing, or journalism.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone across press releases, speeches, newsletters, social media, and executive communications.

  • Strong media relations experience with a proven track record of securing meaningful coverage in national, business, education, and digital publications.

  • Experience developing and executing integrated communication strategies 

  • PR agency background preferred

  • Work with an Ed-tech or university is a plus
