Job Description - Communications Officer

The Communications Officer role at Live to Love (LTL) is ever-evolving and packed with opportunities to make a real impact! Your main goal? To supercharge our mission with dynamic communication strategies that emphasize cultural sensitivity and strategic outreach. You'll be at the heart of promoting our initiatives and goals, crafting messages that truly connect with diverse audiences—stakeholders, partners, and the communities we serve. Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy. Create and publish engaging content across various social media platforms.
  • Social Media Analytics: Track and analyze social media performance. Provide regular reports and insights to improve engagement and reach.
  • Content Creation: Develop compelling stories and content for various communication channels, including website, blog, and social media.
  • Newsletter Coordination: Write, edit, and distribute monthly newsletters to our supporters, donors, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Public Relations: Maintain and cultivate relationships with journalists and media outlets. Prepare press releases and handle media inquiries.
  • Award Applications: Identify relevant awards and opportunities. Prepare and submit applications and nominations to raise the organization's profile.
  • External Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for all external communications. Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Collateral and Marketing Materials: Design and produce marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and reports.
  • Retail Donations Tracking: Monitor and track retail donations, ensuring accurate records and donor acknowledgment.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute events, including networking events and community outreach programs when required.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Website Management: Oversee the content and updates on the organization’s website. Ensure the website is user-friendly and up-to-date.
  • Internal Communication: Support internal communication efforts to keep staff informed and engaged with organizational updates and initiatives.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi

Required Skills:

  • Comfortable traveling globally and working across timezones
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Confident personality, leadership qualities, self-learner, self-motivator, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing effective communication and marketing strategies
  • Competence in using digital communication tools, including content management systems, social media platforms, and standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, Canva, MailChimp, etc.)
  • Ability to transition seamlessly from engaging with partners collaboratively to planning and executing projects to maintaining accountability in day-to-day operations. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of role, and the ideal candidate should be result-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to bridge the gap between the non-profit and government ecosystem
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity towards the diverse cultural landscape of India
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to craft messages that engage and inspire diverse audiences
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify communication needs, and develop strategic solutions

Compensation:
Negotiable as per experience
