Communications Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing materials

• Maintain the Biocon Academy website and create new pages as and when required

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies to build the BA brand

• Create and design LinkedIn newsletters

• Work with social media class representatives to obtain timely information for social media posts and blogs

• Collaborate with alumni students to gather video testimonials and keep the Instagram page active

• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to brainstorm content ideas aligned with the company's strategy and in support of various brand initiatives, especially for new programs

• Analyze and present detailed media reports on various social media platforms

• Plan and organize events with internal teams and external vendors such as Alumni Day and Graduation Day

• Address communication-related issues on various social media platforms promptly

• Partner with influencers to enhance the brand presence on social media

• Adhere to the company's style guide to ensure the production of high-quality and error-free copy

• Manage various social media accounts, including the YouTube channel, and maintain a positive public image within these networks

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience

• Should have a basic knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Illustrator, or CorelDraw

• Working knowledge of WordPress CMS, SEO/SEM, and advertising on social media platforms, including LinkedIn

• Must be a confident communicator and presenter

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally

• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills

• Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital and social media

• Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
