Job Description - Compliance Associate


This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Compliance Associate based in India.


This role sits at the intersection of compliance, payments, and domain operations within a fast-paced global digital services environment. You will be responsible for reviewing financial and operational activity, ensuring adherence to regulatory and industry standards such as ICANN guidelines, and supporting dispute resolution processes related to domain ownership. The position involves hands-on investigative work, documentation management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including registrars and operational partners. You will play a key role in maintaining trust, accuracy, and regulatory alignment across online transactions and digital asset operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow in a structured compliance environment. You will also contribute to process improvements and operational integrity across a high-volume global platform.


Accountabilities



  • Review and analyze online payments and related transactional activities to ensure accuracy, legitimacy, and compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Verify documentation related to payment proof, account ownership, and operational requests with strong attention to detail.

  • Support domain arbitration cases and assist in resolving domain name ownership disputes in a structured and compliant manner.

  • Monitor resource utilization across products and services, ensuring proper usage and adherence to guidelines.

  • Handle daily operational compliance tasks involving documentation, validation, and record-keeping.

  • Ensure adherence to ICANN policies and assist in registrar onboarding, accreditation, and liaison activities.

  • Support operational processes such as registrar escrow deposits and related compliance workflows.


Requirements



  • 0–2 years of experience in risk assessment, compliance support, payment operations, customer service, or similar analytical roles, preferably in a digital or IT environment.

  • Graduate degree in any discipline; background in Commerce, IT, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail and investigative mindset.

  • Good understanding of internet tools, MS Excel, and MS Word, with ability to quickly learn new systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in structured operational processes and shift-based environments.

  • Strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
