What we’re looking for 


 



  • To ensure compliance with global sanctions regulations by managing and monitoring sanctions screening processes within the commercial function. This role supports risk mitigation and adherence to LR’s Sanctions Policy and relevant legislation (UK, EU, OFAC).

  • Undertakes a wide range of complex administrative activities and resolves complex queries as and when required.

The role


 


Sanctions Screening:



  • Conduct real-time checks on accounts, contacts, and transactions using the implemented sanctions software integrated with Salesforce

  • Review potential matches and escalate positive hits to Legal for decision-making.


Compliance Monitoring:



  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails of all screening activities.

  • Ensure processes align with LR’s Sanctions Policy (GMS03-11-04) and audit requirements.


Process Management:



  • Follow the approved workflow for sanctions checks at account creation, ATQ requests/contracting, and onboarding stages.

  • Support continuous improvement of sanctions compliance processes.


Stakeholder Coordination:



  • Liaise with Legal, Procurement, and Commercial teams on sanctions-related queries and escalations.

  • Provide timely updates on compliance risks and actions.


Account Creation and Amendments:



  • Handle requests for new account creation and amendments, including changes of company names without altering VAT numbers.

  • Ensure accounts are synced and locked in Salesforce to maintain data consistency.


Master Data Management (MDM) Support:



  • Participate in ad hoc MDM data cleansing activities to maintain high data quality standards


 


What you bring 



  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyds Register within the relevant field.

  • Familiarity with sanctions regulations (UK, EU, OFAC) and compliance frameworks.

  • Use own initiative able to prioritise and work on multiple tasks whilst adhering to tight deadlines.

  • Good client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues and operate in ambiguous situations.

  • Flexible and results-oriented approach to meet varying and competing client and business demands.

  • Adaptable and well organized with a practical minded approach

  • High degree of accuracy.

  • Able to work as part of a team to contribute to achieving departmental/business objectives.

  • Computer literate in MS Office.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

  • Fluent written and spoken English (and local language, as applicable) with ability to liaise effectively with internal and external personnel.
